Jungle WarriorSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Jungle Warrior is a relatively unknown game that offers great fun and action! You are an explorer lost in a jungle and your mission is to rescue your girlfriend that's tied to a tree by the natives, on the opposite side of the land! Starting off from your camp there are many locations to walk through and numerous native warriors and animals to fight. You must also beware of any land traps, like broken bridges, rivers, and more. The visuals look good though the game is in flip-screen. Open doors (passages actually) can be used to further explore the levels and find the objects you need to save your love interest. Of note is the fact that, unlike other games, when you fall into the water you don't drown. Instead you sink under the water's surface and the game turns into a scuba dive variant! Overall, the game is quite tough since each screen is swarmed by flying or ground animals like scorpions, snakes, birds plus the natives that can shoot arrows. Upon mastering its controls, Jungle Warrior is very fun to play!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics on CPC look nice and colorful. The sprites are well animated though the screen scrolling is a bit slow, while the sound is also good, featuring an intro theme and a few sound effects during gameplay.

Amstrad CPC 464/664/6128CPU: ZiLOG Z80 4MHZ

SOUND: The CPC used the General Instrument AY-3-8912 sound chip, providing 3 channels Mono Sound (via internal speaker) but capable to offer Stereo Sound provided through a 3.5 mm headphones jack (with pretty impressive outcome!). Also, it is possible to play back digital sound samples at a resolution of approximately 5bit. This technique is very processor-intensive though.
